The APBN is the apex organization comprising, for now, twenty-nine professional bodies, whose main objective is to provide Nigeria with an effective forum for transmitting to Government, the aggregate views of the nations professionals on matters of public interest which they are competent to express informed and enlightened views. APBN was given official Federal Government recognition as the third leg of the organised private sector (OPS) in January, 1992.

Meet The President

Mr. Manason Garkuwa Rubainu was born at about 1400 hours Nigerian th time on Wednesday August 14, 1957 to Rev and Mrs Rubainu Garkuwa in Kumo, Akko Local Government Area of the present Gombe State.

Mr. M. G. Rubainu is a graduate of Chemistry from the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University and was first employed as Medical Laboratory Scientist -in- Training by the old Bauchi State (present Bauchi and Gombe States) government before proceeding to the School of Medical Laboratory Science of the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria where he obtained the Associate of the Institute of Medical Laboratory Science (AIMLS) of Nigeria in Chemical Pathology.

Mr. Manason Garkuwa RUBAINU is a Fellow of the West African Post Graduate College of Medical Laboratory Science (FWAPGCMLS) - Faculty of Molecular Diagnos ti c s and Translation Science. He is also Fellow, Association of Medical Laboratory Scientists of Nigeria (FAMLSN).

HOW TO JOIN APBN!

Professional bodies which satisfy the following conditions shall be eligible to become members of the Association.

  1. A Professional body setup an Act of Parliament or Decree.
    A professional body recognized by convention of the APBN.
    A professional body that satisfies any other conditions which the Board of the Association may impose from time to time.
  2. Application for admission to membership of the Association shall be considered by the Board of the Association, and the Board, and the body to the membership of the Association.
  3. Every member of APBN shall be obliged to further to their best ability, the objects and interest of the Association. It shall also observe all bye-laws or regulations, orders, notices or rules made at any time by the Association.
  4. Application for membership of the Association shall be made to the Secretary General in writing and in such form as may be prescribed.
  5. A member of the Association shall cease to be a member if such a member cease to be a professional body or association in the opinion of the Board. However the decision shall have to be ratifies by the general assembly.
