On matters of business, commerce, industry and labour, the opinions of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), the Manufacturers Association of Nigerian (MAN) and the National Employers Consultative Association (NECA) are frequently sought by Government before major policy decisions are taken or implementation made.

… APBN was given official Federal Government recognition as the third leg of the tripod of the Organised Private Sector (OPS) in January, 1992. however, the activities of APBN started far back in 1983. APBN is actively involved in promoting and enhancing the status of professional bodies by ensuring maximal utilization of the talent, skills and knowledge of the Nigerian professionals.
