Chief (Engr.) Olumuyiwa Alade Ajibola FNSE FAEngPresident

OLUMUYIWA ALADE AJIBOLA was born on 5th March 1947 in Ile Ife, Osun State.

He attended Christ’s School, Ado-Ekiti between 1960 and 1966, for his School & Higher School Certificates.

He obtained B.Sc. degree in Civil Engineering, University of London -West Ham College of Technology, Stratford E15, now University of East London in 1970.  He had his initial pupilage at the Urban District Council of Basildon New Town, Essex, England 1970/73.  Advanced his career back home in Nigeria in the Engineering Consultancy Practice of Etteh Aro & Partners 1974/76. He further obtained his M.Sc Degree in Highway & Traffic Engineering/Construction Management from the University of Birmingham, Edgbaston in 1978/79.

By late 1976, he co-founded INTECON PARTNERSHIP, (later INTECON PARTNERSHIP LTD), now a leading Civil/ Structural Engineering Consulting firm in Nigeria today. He also led the formation of two other Civil Engineering Service Companies viz: Interworks Engineering Ltd., (Construction) and Automated Geotechnics Ltd., (Geotechnical Investigation and Foundation Engineering), both subsidiaries of INTECON PARTNERSHIP LTD, now ISO 9001:2008 certified.

In the past 40 years, he has been developing the practice of the profession, training and mentoring several Civil Engineers of note, through the Organizations established by him. He participated in spectacular projects both in the UK and across Nigeria including, Nevedon Road 63 Dwellings, Basildon, UK; Tafawa  Balewa Sqaure Civil Works, Lagos (1975); Air force Hangar at MM International Airport (1977); QIT-Ibeno Road through creeks & swamps; Eket, Bonny & Escravos Airstrip Runways for Exxon Mobil and Chevron respectively; several Civil, Structural  and Highways Engineering projects across the Nation.

Engr. Ajibola served the Engineering Profession meritoriously in various capacities in the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), ACEN, COREN and WFEO, over the past 3 decades ultimately as President of Nigerian Society of Engineers, the Engineering Umbrella body: 2010-2011. He has authored several Engineering Technical Papers, presented at different National and International fora. He recently delivered the 25th NSE October Lecture, as a Past President of the NSE; “Creativity in the Application of Nigerian Engineering Resources for Effective Economic Development: a National Policy Imperative”, on the 8th October, 2015.

He also served in various State, National, Academic and Professional Councils viz; Member -Osun State Economic Advisory Council, Governing Councils of the University of Ado-Ekiti, the Premier University of Ibadan, the Nigerian Content Development & Monitoring Board, National Refineries Special Task Force (2012); Chairman, COREN Investigation Panel (2012-2015) and Member Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).

He is a Fellow of the NSE, NICE and NIStructE. He is also a Fellow of the Nigerian Academy of Engineering (NAE).

He is married with children, four of whom are Engineers. He loves Reading, Travelling and playing Golf.

He holds the Chieftaincy title of ‘Agbaakin’ of Ile-Ife.

Surv. Akinloye Olufemi OYEGBOLA, FNIS, PPNIS1st Deputy President

Surv. Akinloye Olufemi Oyegbola, born on 7th Sept., 1955 is the first of five children of Deacon Joshua Oyewole Oyegbola and Deaconess, Chief (Mrs.) Victoria Ibidunni Oyegbola (nee Ogunbona).
Deacon J. O. Oyegbola hailed from the Balogun Clan of Oyegbola / Alade family in Fiditi, Oyo State. Deaconess Chief (Mrs.) V. I. Oyegbola was from the Alakelupo Mosunleka Ruling House of Alake of Egba land and her mother was nee Karunnwi, one of the daughters of an Oshile of Oke Ona of Egba land.
Deacon J. O. Oyegbola was a Management Consultant and Deaconess V.I. Oyegbola was a school teacher. They are both deceased.

Surv. Akin Oyegbola had his primary and secondary school education in Surulere Baptist School and Birch Freeman High School. They are both in Surulere, Lagos State and he completed them in 1967 and 1973 respectively.
He started briefly at the then Federal School of Science, Victoria Island, Lagos and later took up employment with the then Federal Ministry of Works, Survey Department in May 1975 for the purpose of starting a course in Surveying.
He completed the Basic Course in Surveying (Basic 17) from School of Surveying, Oyo, Oyo State in 1976 and was transferred to Ilorin Field Headquarters of the Federal Survey Department.
In 1977, he obtained a Federal Government Scholarship to study Surveying Engineering in Bulgaria. He studied in the only University of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy, Sofia, Bulgaria. He returned in 1983 with a second degree (M.Sc. Eng.) in Surveying Engineering.
In 1989, he was registered as a Surveyor by the Surveyors Council of Nigerian (SURCON).

Surv. Oyegbola got married in 1981to Mrs. Folayemi S. Oyegbola, an Engineer and retiree from the Director’s cadire of Federal Ministry of Environment. The marriage is blessed with three wonderful children.

Born in Lagos, Southwest Nigeria, Olanrewaju Olusola is an architect and a project management consultant with 30 years of professional experience. Arc. Olusola has served as project management consultant in the past 16 years to significant construction companies and corporate organisations in various parts of Nigeria as well as the United States of America, managing projects that have ranged from a small maintenance job to multi-billion Naira building assignments.

Arc. Olanrewaju Olusola attended St. Gregory’s College, Obalende, Lagos (1975-1980). He studied Architecture at Ogun State Polytechnic, (now Moshood Abiola University of Technology) Abeokuta between 1982 and 1988 where he served as Chairman of the Electoral Committee of Architecture Students Association in 1987. He participated in the NYSC in Kaduna State and practiced for 14 years at Habitat Associates working on projects in Kaduna, Abuja, Ilorin, Bidda and Minna.

His professional practice is not without strategic involvement and participation in capacity building trainings, workshops, conferences and seminars within and outside Nigeria in architecture and project management spanning over 27 years. He was two times Public Relations Officer of NIA Abuja Chapter 2010-2014, and also two times Practice subcommittee Chair 2014-2018. HAJIYA ZUWAIRA TALATU KISHIMI, FCNA was born on January 11, 1954 at Wukari, Taraba State. She obtained her B. Sc. degree in Accounting in 1985 from Ahmedu Bello University and her MBA in Accounting from Federal University of Technology Yola in 2006. She was admitted as a Member of ANAN in 1994.

Hajiya Kishimi started her working career with defunct Gongola State Ministry of Finance, Treasury Headquarters, Yola in 1979 as Accountant in Training and she rose to the rank of State Auditor General, Taraba State and retired in 2014. Hajiya Kishimi has headed various positions as Chairman among them: Branch Chairman ANAN Taraba State, Treasurer and Public Relation Officer of Body of Federal and State Auditors General.
She is a permanent Commissioner, Taraba State Civil Service Commission and Financial Secretary, Association of Professional Bodies in Nigeria (APBN). She is also a member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN) and Certified Public Accountants (CPA) Ireland. She has served as Chairman of various Committees of ANAN including Conference, workshop & Publicity, Practising and Quality Control and Audit & Risk Committees. She is a fellow, Council member of Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, member of Board of Governors, Nigerian College of Accountancy, Jos and currently the membership Secretary of ANAN.

Samuel Olushola AGBELUYI FCTI, FCA, FCS Financial Secretary

Samuel Olushola AGBELUYI is a multi-disciplinary professional of repute who has made his modest contributions both in employment and practice. He is one professional who could be described as an all-rounder considering the unique combination of professions that could be ascribed to him.
Agbeluyi is a fellow and Council member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN). He is also a Chartered Accountant and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) as well as a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers.
A graduate of Accountancy from Yaba College of Technology is also a lawyer who graduated from University of Bradford, in the United Kingdom and called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. He holds an MBA in Marketing from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology and an M.Sc in Finance from the Lagos State University, Ojo.

ESV.SAMUEL AKANBI is a Chartered Estate Surveyor and Valuer. The Principal Partner of Sam Akanbi & Associates, a firm of Estate Surveying and Valuation with branches in Abuja, Warri and Ibadan. He is a registered and committed member of Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers {NIESV}, and Estate Surveyors and Valuers Registration Board of Nigeria {ESVARBON}. He is a graduate of The Polytechnic, Ibadan.

He started his Professional career as Project Supervisor in Urban Axis Associates Ltd, one of the early estates development consultancy firm in Abuja. He later resigned after gained some wealth of experience, to establish SAMAK PROPERTIES & DEVT. CO. LTD, a core property development firm as CEO/Project Manager. His quest for excellence and professionalism made him to apply and sat for the professional qualifying examination of the prestigious Membership of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors and Valuers (NIESV) and became qualified Associate Member of the Nigerian Institution of Estate Surveyors & Valuers.

HON (DR) OMEDE IDRIS ( Bm.Bch,MPH, Fnma, Fnipr, Fnimn)Immediate Past President

(Hon) Dr (Rotn) Omede Idris, was born to the Family of Omede Yusuf Edegbo of Odu in Dekina LGA of Kogi State on 10th September, 1962.  He had his Primary Education at Methodist Primary School Kano (1970 – 1976) and his Secondary Education at Federal Government College, Kano (1976 – 1981).  Thereafter, he was admitted to University of Jos, Plateau State (1981 – 1987) where he obtained Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Bm.Bch) degree.  He later had Masters in Public Health (MPH) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State. He was the Chairman of his MPH set class .

He had his working experience beginning with Housemanship at the then General Hospital (now FMC) Makurdi, Benue State.  He had the one year NYSC at Yola, former Gongola (Now Adamawa) state after which he joined the then Gongola State Civil Service.  He worked in the State Specialist Hospital, Yola before opting out into Private Practice in Adamawa Hospital limited Yola, Adamawa State in 1993. He worked diligently in Adamawa hospital till 2010 when he was elected as National President of Nigerian Medical Association, having served the association at Adamawa state and National level in various capacities previously.

He is a Board Chairman & Medical Director of Adamawa Hospital  since 1998 to date.  He was elected the National President of Nigerian Medical Association in 2010 for a single tenure of two years (2010 – 2012).

Dr. Omede Idris served as Honorable Commissioner of Health, Kogi State under His Excellency, Capt Idris Wada administration from July 2012 to April 2014.He was reappointed, when the state Executive Council was reconstituted, again as Commissioner of Health, in Kogi state from July 2014 to 26th January, 2016.He was the Chairman of Kogi state Commissioners` forum, 2014-2016.

He is widely travelled within and outside Nigeria for Professional business and Associations’ Conferences, Meetings, Workshop, Seminars and other activities.  He has numerous awards from his Professional body(NMA) and other professional bodies and associations such as, Heads of Federal Establishments of the Federation in Yola, 2005; Igala Cultural and Development Association, Adamawa State branch, Igala Students Association, Federal University of Technology (now Modibbo Adama University of Technology), Yola; Rotary and Rotaract awards. He is a Member of Rotary Club of Yola, a Past President and a Past Assistant Governor of Rotary. He was also the District Chairman National Polio Plus Committee (NPPC) 2012 – 2013 of District 9125.  As a Rotarian and Past President of Rotary, he carried out community projects targeted at the poor, less privileged and provision of Health Care Services to the poor and needy. He was second Deputy President (2012-2014), First Deputy President (2014 – 2016), President of Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) 2016 -2018. Currently immediate Past President of the Association.
